Course Description:
The overriding purpose of the 3-day Post Critical Incident Stress (PCIS)
Seminar is to provide individuals who have experienced a critical incident
an opportunity, in a confidential environment, to share their traumatic
experiences with others who have gone through similar events. The desired
result is for the participants to generate mutual support and attain
strategies for dealing with their traumatic experiences. The following
topics will covered in the training; Critical Incident Stress Management,
Overcoming Adversity, Dealing with Depression. Marriage & Family,
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Eye Movement Desensitization
& Reprocessing (EMDR) and Psychopharmacology.
